Mad West

Mad West is a combination of two coffees from Finca San Jeronimo Miramar in Guatemala. The washed process Caturra has a juicy red fruit and dark chocolate profile, which plays nicely with the Prueba Barrios, adding richness to the syrupy body. "Prueba" translates to "test" or "experiment" and Barrios is the last name of the person who created the fermentation process at the farm. This process extends the fermentation from 12 hours to up to 24 hours hours, adding complexity to the cup and a nice touch of acidit.

Lauren Asta is a Chicago artist who greatly enjoys the creation of public art and its process. Through her cast of characters, Laurens' artwork visually stimulates the audience and inspires to find humor in the human experience. Her illustrations, street art and murals contain enormous amounts of intentional memories, continually reminding us of art's positive communal impact.

From February 23 - April 30th, see four original Lauren Asta pieces of art featured in Mad West at the iconic United Center. The artwork will then move to Star Lounge Coffee Bar through the month of May. Her artwork will be auctioned off and donated to Hope for the Day. View the artwork and purchase a raffle ticket HERE
