First up for Riot Fest 2025 collaborations is a DMC personel favorite, Samiam! Described by NME as "pop-speckled bittersweet hardcore executed with studied panache," Samiam will be playing Astray in its entirety on Friday September 19th at Riot Fest!!
A For the base of Astray, we took a Mexican coffee from Nayarit and applied more heat to it in the roaster, caramelizing more of the sugars and turning those juicy red fruit notes into more dried fruit characteristics. We paired a darker profile with other roastier bean, a dark roasted Colombian coffee from Santa Barbara, creating a toastier cup profile that is a fine blend of aromatic punk tunes with notes of pop!
