"Our trains tether the diverse neighborhoods of Chicago. They connect friends, drive commerce, and vastly widen our scope of exploration. Slang harnessed this power to spread his art and message across the city, turning a basic utility into a form of powerful expression and vibrancy. The "Slang Train" has become a Chicago icon and has influenced countless artists on a global scale."

For Slang Train, we are working with a natural processed Sarchimor from the Pacas Family's farm, El Rosario, in El Salvador. Sarchimor trees are a great fit for this farm that sits at a lower elevation, 950-1000m, with these strong, sustainable trees that are resistant to leaf rust, which can be a common occurrence on farms that sit in warmer, lower altitude areas. We paired this with the clean, sweet Pacas from La Gloria - a washed coffee that, while it also has nice acidity, tones down the Sarchimor a touch. We find that this one changes a bit as it cools, with more fruit and complexity coming through over time!
