We're ECSTATIC to release a collaboration with Bad Brains; a legendary punk band known for being one of the originators of Hardcore! Their self-titled debut album kicked off an entire movement, and is also the inspiration for the lightning bolt cacao pod mural you see on the wall at Adios Amigos in NYC, just down the block from where CBGB's stood.

For this blend we are roasting up a washed Catuai with a bit more heat in the roaster, putting more of a heavy medium on these beans to further caramlize the sugars and is a majority of the blend to create a fudgy base. Next we took the bright and delicious honey processed version of this bean that is roasted lighter, adding more acidity to finish the cup with more dark fruit notes. This is a fun play on two different fermentation methods on the same bean that also have quite different roast profiles!
